how do you like the fit on that? I tried that on in the store as well. Seemed tight in there even at one size larger.

Not that the bell star is any better..

Schuberth C3 Matte black finish modular. The quietest and most comfortable helmet on the market. Period.

I suppose it depends on the area you say is tight. If you mean around the cheeks, you want it to be quite tight when first breaking in the helmet. This will go away after a while. If you mean it's too tight around the skull area, then you have the wrong shaped head for the Corsair V. Shop for another Arai model that fits better. Or a completely different brand. Something like an AGV has a more round than oval shape which rocked around my skull area while at high speeds. (disappointed too, I like the schemes of the AGVs) But something like an Arai or Shoei have a more oval than round shape fit. When helmet companies say try the different helmets on they do mean just that. Not one head fits all brands.

Just picked up a bell star carbon.

This is what it looks like.

It's a very light helmet but it's pretty big in size. Bell is known for using thick padding. Tight fit too. I love how it looks though and the weight definitely helps the neck.
I got exactly the same (even if they aren't imported in Europe for regulations issues....) it matches perfectly the carbon of the 1199 and it is so comfortable that my Shoei X spirit 2 (X twelve in US) is taking dust on the closet
